⚡Urgent vs Important.


This week was a reminder that even the best-laid project plans can be disrupted by the unexpected. It’s easy to see these moments as distractions — but often, they’re the very things that keep the bigger picture on track.


From my background in the fire service, one principle stands out: structure under pressure matters. Assess. Prioritise. Act. Adapt. The same applies when managing contracts, leading teams, or steering complex projects.


Good, measured responses to critical issues don’t derail progress — they protect it.
